I created treehugger recycled glass as a way to upcycle glass bottles and containers that have entered the waste stream in the New Orleans area.   As a glass artist I can't overlook the value and potential of such an incredible material.  Glass can be re-melted indefinitely without losing clarity and can be manipulated and formed in a variety of ways as well.  By setting the example to collect this waste glass  I have high hopes that interest in recycling glass will increase and the process of upcycling bottles will be adopted by my community
